Review for 12 Unlikely Heroes

This was a great book! An eye opener! I love any opportunity to learn more about the gospel and the disciples!

John MacArthur dives deep into each biblical character with detail and it may surprise you how such unlikely heroes can be commissioned by God to reach the multitudes.

If you feel inadequate or insubstantial for God to work through you, this is the book for you. The people God chooses to work through don't always look like the prime candidates. But to God, no one is too small for Him!

The Power of Knowing God

I LOVE Kay Arthur! So when I saw I had a chance to study one of her books, I was beyond excited. I did enjoy being able to look over it and study for myself the scripture! While Kay asks questions about the scripture I was able to dig for myself instead of getting someone else's opinions on that particular portion of scripture. I do feel like I have grown closer to God through this study! I think that if you are struggling to understand who God is, that this is a great study for you! It requires you to dig for yourself and really find who God is!

Book review for Fierce Beauty

Being a woman who does not have a large confidence level, I was nervous about reading this book. I thought, well another book to tell me I just have a pretty face and inward beauty is what matters not outward.
Kim Meedor changed my whole outlook on life and how I look at myself! I was amazed! One statement in her book says, "True beauty is not about how you look, but how you live." WOW! That is so true! It is so easy to let the world decide for us how we feel and have self doubt! She makes real life connections with hard truths! This book is a  must read! It changed my life! .

Book Review for Shot of Faith

Wow! What an eye opener. This book reminded me so much of why i believe in God. It is an encouragement when I need to share the Word with Atheists or other religions for that matter. I read this review and felt the exact same way!!

The book is an examination of philosophical arguments for and against the existence of God. It attempts to equip the christian with some cogent, logical arguments both to bolster their own faith and to use against those who attempt to discredit their belief. Each chapter ends with a summary listing several points that the christian can use in defense of his faith.
I thought this book to be an interesting read. A number of the arguments used in the book were new to me. I believe that the author goes a long way to help the average christian who enounters skepticism or even antagonism towards their beliefs. I believe it would profit many if they would take the time to work through the book and apply it.
I must add one note to the above, however: arguments are just that-arguments, and in the end only the work of the Holy Spirit upon a person's heart can really bring about true conversion. " "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them."-John 6:44(NIV).

Every Woman's Battle Review

This book was a huge eye opener! Shannon Ethridge opens your eyes to things that you never would have thought might be a temptation for you. We as women must guard our hearts and thoughts. We are no better than men in many ways. Shannon shows us what they Lord says about these issues such as our thoughts, actions, and motives. She shares her own personal stories so that we know we are not alone in these things. She also teaches ways to guard our heart. If we spend more time fantisizing about  other men, how does that make our husbands feel?
This book is a must read!

Book Review for Nearing Home!

Wow! Billy Graham's best book yet. He speaks about nearing the end of your life. He makes a comment in the book that he never thought he would be so old. That is so true! I think we all feel that way! Nearing home offers encouragement and advice for those who may be struggling with salvation or for those who just don't think that they can accept Christ after all these years. If you are doubting salvation, read this book!
Graham has such a way of comforting a person. Even if you are not an older person, this book is a must read. You will learn many things including, trusting Jesus, knowing God's will, and dealing with the loss of a loved one!
Read this book! You will never be the same!

Review for Living Close to God

I wasn't sure how this book was going to help me become closer to God. I had tried many time before and had failed. I never quite understood why. As I read this particular book, I enjoyed the authors story about his journey, but I didn't feel he gave a ton of practical advice for others. That it just my opinion though. I did find some practical advice, but just not much. But read it and find out for yourself!!

Book Review for The Love & Respect Experience

WOW! I have spend the last 2 months reading through this devotional with my husband, and let me tell you it was a life changer. By following the steps and suggestions in the journal, my husband and I have completely changed how we talked and act toward each other. The applications are very practical and simple to do. You don't feel like it is too much to handle. I also enjoyed that the devotions were not too long. (Husbands are easily distracted! My husband was awesome for this one! I am so thankful God put this on Dr. Eggrich's heart to write. Even if you are not struggling in your marriage, read this book! It will change your marriage I promise!
